Ny-Ålesund Terrestrial Ecology Flagship meeting

The Terrestrial Flagship brings together researchers engaged in advancing polar terrestrial ecosystem science in Ny-Ålesund and Svalbard. The meeting aims to consolidate momentum and refine future directions.

The flagship meeting will take place at the Quality Hotel Expo on October 27th, the day before the Svalbard Science Conference starts. The meeting starts after lunch and end with a joint dinner at Quality Hotel Expo.

Draft Agenda

1. Flagship structure
Review of the current Flagship structure, participants, and active projects, with the aim of achieving an integrated overview of terrestrial ecosystem science efforts.

2. Reflections on prior meetings
Discussion of outcomes from the previous meetings in České Budějovice, Oslo, and Messina.

3. Roadmap for future engagement
Strategic planning for upcoming initiatives, including fundraising opportunities, larger-scale meetings, new collaborative proposals, targeted science sessions, and other joint activities.
