Ny-Ålesund Research Station Newsletter
From no sunset to two sunsets on one day: after 4,5 months of polar day, the sun set twice on the 28th of August, based on Ny-Ålesund local time. If you don't believe it, check it out.
With the setting of the sun and the start of autumn, the high season has come to an end. The focus is shifting from executing and supporting fieldwork, to processing data and feedback, and to implementing and constructing. This newsletter looks back on last summer, highlights research papers, and looks forward to the upcoming meetings.
